How to get the best out of your body butters

Waterless Skincare

Our body butter cream is a mixture of unrefined Shea Butter along with other skin loving plant-based oils, it has no water thus making it an anhydrous product. A typical lotion formulation is composed of about 70% or more of water leaving little room for the more fatty and decadent oils and butters. So why not eliminate the water, make a concentrated product, requiring you to use less because there is no evaporation; simply allow the butter and oils to nourish, soften, and condition the skin as it absorbs leaving your skin feeling absolutely amazing.

The learning curve

Waterless product can take some getting used to. There is no need to slather the butter on your skin, “a little goes a long way, you can always add a bit more if needed”. If you overuse the butter your skin will feel greasy and heavy but when you apply just the right amount your skin is left with a beautiful soft silky feel. For the very best results use after showering or hand washing while your skin is still damp, gently warm a small amount in your hands and massage into your skin, allowing the product to fully absorb locking in the moisture.

It starts with the Nut When making our Shea Butter Cream we start with Grade "A" Unrefined Shea Butter from FairTale made by the beautiful women of Ghana. Unrefined Shea Butter maintains its nutty smokey scent, beige color, and its healing properties. Refined Shea Butter has been chemically altered to remove the Shea Butter's natural scent, is bleach white in color, and retains only a small portion of its natural healing properties.
